Nutella

What does Nutella and an Oyster have in common?

People either like it or they don't. There does not seem to be a middle ground.

Our local fruit market for a period of time last year had 5 kg jars of Nutella. Most times when I was in buying something, I would notice them and think, "Gotta get one of them one day". One day came and I did.
When I posted the photo of my newly acquired pleasure food, a few people requested that I share photos of the supposed and presumed desserts.

The first dessert was easy. Take one big spoonful of nutella

and shovel into mouth.

The second was a tad more complex.
Use two spoons, (double shot)

The third is a true addicts dessert

Now for the serious stuff.
After perusing the internet and reviewing recipes sent to me from friends I managed to recreate two.

There was the Nutella Rice Krispy Treats

Followed by this Nutella Pie

Those of you who do engage in consuming Nutella will understand that a decision needs to made on how to get the last bit from the bottom of the jar. Smaller jars are not a real problem. However, trying to retrieve the dregs from a much larger jar posed a dilemma. Tried reaching it with a small spoon but ended up with Nutella up my arm.

Enter some Rice Milk, one drill, a paint mixer attachment, and a popsicle moulds.

Finally, after receiving another recipe from a friend, another, smaller jar was purchased to make Nutella Stuffed Peanut Butter Cookies. These were very nice.
(photo quality is indicative of the slightly inebriated state of the photographer)
