The prized Truffle is one produce that was on the "must try" list. A few years back I was lucky enough to discover they were being cultivated in Tasmania. My discovery coincided with the winter season. Perfect. Without hesitation my first truffle purchase with Truffles of Tasmania had commenced.
Two days later, in time for the weekend, it had arrived.
I lot of internet searching was undertaken from the time the order was placed to identify and select several ways to prepare and use the truffle. When stored correctly a fresh truffle will keep for up to 7-10 days.
There was no way it was going to last that long. I had plans. Truffle everything for the next 3-4 days. Not really. I decided on a Creamy Truffled Linguine for one meal. There was Truffled Mash Potato and Truffled sauce to go with a steak. Another was Truffled Scrambled Eggs.
Other meals over the years included Five Cheese Pizza with Truffle.
If I was asked for my favourite truffle meal it would be this.
